Hello Lovely Ladies,
This post is just to vent and blow off some steam. I am so stressed right now. Most of the stuff I am dealing with is day-to-day stuff like my weight, my finances, the lack of a fulfilling career, etc. In the grand scheme of things, I know everything will work itself out, but sometimes, I just feel overwhelmed. So... I am turning to you for advice :)
1) Weight struggles: Can you recommend a good eating plan and/or exercise routine? I have tried WW and had success, but I am not sure I want to do it again. My sister is doing MediWeightloss and loves it, but it is kind of pricey.
2) Money problems: I am 26 and in a stable relationship with a steady income. At some point, I want to buy a house, have kids and retire, so I know I need to be saving. What are your recommendations for saving vs. spending income?
3) My job is a bit boring, but I am so lucky to have one in this economy. I am on the hunt for something new and exciting and in the mean time, I am filling my time with new hobbies (like blogging) and volunteering. What are your hobbies? Any good volunteer organizations I should check out?
Alright ladies, the ball is in your court! Can you help me out! If you have any questions, want some advice or just want some support. Please feel free to leave a comment.
Talk Soon,

We just got married and bought a house, so we are in deep debt. We want to have babies soon, so we are in the same boat!! I signed up for savings programs for the shopping I do (but obviously cut way back on) like ebates (the link is on my sidebar), use coupons like crazy and started a savings jar, which we put money into anytime either of us gets a 5 dollar bill in our wallet. I posted some posts about ways to save Wednesdays, and we've had great luck with the jar. I talk about saving money a lot, so let me know if you need more ideas :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool idea! I love the $5 savings jar. I will definitely check out your blog for more tips.
Deletei totally understand your problems concerning money/weight! I'm in the same position but i just made a huge post on weight loss tips and diet here http://beautybyalexiajade.blogspot.co.uk/2012/11/health-and-fitness-getting-back-into-it.html
ReplyDeleteand if youre looking for exercise, try Jillian Michael's 30 day shred, its literally amazing! its 20 minutes of exercise that you can do in your own room. i highly recommend it
hope this helped xxx
Thanks, girl! That helped a lot. Great blog!!! I will also look into Jillian Michael's :)
Deleteso my 2 cents :) Exercise at least 3-5 times a week - and that doesn't have to mean the gym.... do yoga in your living room, take a walk, etc - just DO something every day for 30 minutes. I would also recommend starting a gratitude journal - it's amazing what happens when you focus on the thing you do have vs. the things you don't :

PS following you back!
I love this advise. Focusing on what I do have is a great way to look at life. Thank you :)
DeleteYou can do the COHEN diet! :) Do look for it online. My friend did it religiously and lost 100 lbs in 1 year. She's obese though.

Thanks for following! Never heard of the COHEN diet, but I will do some research.
DeleteYou can do it! You can do it! :D
ReplyDeleteI'd suggest that whenever you get any amount of money, put half of it in the bank. Immediately. And then, only spend the cash! :)

Good idea. Thanks!
DeleteRegarding weight, I've lost 24 lbs just by counting my calories (limit to 1500cals a day) and at least 2L of water each day. Thats all lol. WW was a waste of time for me.
ReplyDeleteHang in there!
